rugsforthehome.org How to cut a rug 1.Call your area flooring store and ask if they do or have access to some one that binds area rugs, most do. 2.If you want to cut it, all you need it a straight edge and a new blade in a utility knife. 3.Turn the rug over and cut from the back, placing the straight edge where you want it and cut along it. 4.Make sure your cutting over something that wont either dull the knife or you cut something that is under the rug. 5.You can also use duck tape before you cut to hold the fibers together for a minute, then use glue at the base of the fibers to keep them together
