Question by Sarah: Ok. I have a copule of large area rugs (66″ by 90) and they move and wrinkle?
please please please don’t tell me get rug grip or stoppe or ..
the rugs are on the carpet. very old carpet. i’ve tried grips and rug pads. nothing works. someone said nail them to the floor. I did that with medium size nail, but they came out easily.
can I screw them to the floor with electric screw driver? what size screw should it be? thanks

if you know you have hard wood flooring under your carpet (which a lot of houses have) you can use the right size like a #8 dry wall nail with a phillips head on it (they come in black if better to blend) and use a drill with a phillips head drill bit on it and that should do the trick. but if you have concrete under your carpet and padding then you’ll just have to keep searching for the right pad/rug grip. hope this helps :))

Nails or screws will just pull through the rugs.
Get some 1 1/2″ long staples that way there is enough fibers caught to hold tight.
Hide the tops of the staples between the loops in the rug.
    Get at a Hardware store.
