I saw the cover on the rug that was found in the Dumpster ( Cover Story, January 20 ). Well, that actually happened to me. I was working on a jobsite by University and 805, and someone actually threw an Afghani Baluch pray rug into the Dumpster. When we pulled it out, I thought it was a Persian rug.

I had no idea when I made a present to my sister and brother-in-law of an overnight trip with Weekend Getaways on a Tank of Gas that the famed mansion was on Nancy’s bucket list. It’s not as if we didn’t grow up either knowing people who lived well or visiting the homes of others as tourists.
